INAMA FAMILY

The family name Inama, according to some people, can trace back one’s origins to Denno, de Enanis that is of Eno or Enno’s, and at confirmation of his there are the resemblance between the coat of arms of Inama and that of Alberti of d’Enno and also that of crown Lord of Denno, in effect that the name Inama will be in connection with Denno has been contradicted by Hanns Inama Sternegg, that he have discovered the founder of a family Innama or Innamius son of a Bonaconta in a document drafted in Dermulo since 1343. Bonaconta lived in Tres.

Others supposition trace back one’s origins to Benamatus (means loved), to whom Benamà, Enama and Inama otherwise diametrically opposed “Inamatus” not loved.

In the Middle Age we can found also Innamus as proper name albeit rarely.
In the United State there are some Enama due to different spelling of  family name on English language where the “E” the phonetic spelling is “I”, this have caused the different initial letter. In some Italian country was wrongly registered as Inamo.

The family name Inama is the most ancient in Dermulo where is present since middle of third-century. Carl Ausserer  on the “Der Adel des Nonsberges” say “

A great part of inhabitants of Dermulo bear the name of Inama  and from here the Inama name pervading at all “Val di Non” (Non Valley).

The Inama people in various period get over in different country, already at end of fourth-century they are in Fondo, later in Ronzone and Sarnonico, on the seventh-century and eighth-century they was strewn all over the world.
